What is Ixtapa Beef?
It is quite simple. Ixtapa beef is simply some fresh ground chuck. It is Beef that is coupled with Picadillo. The meat is sourced from Ixtapa in Mexico.
This is a type of beef that is very great for burritos, tacos, enchiladas, nachos, as well as quesadillas. Its preparation is quite easy, even though the skill improves the more you make it.
To make it, ensure you have ground beef, yellow onion, olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, oregano leaves, some salt, water, and tomato sauce.
Start by heating some olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, sauté it for five minutes, then add 1.5 lb. of ground beef and half a tablespoon of salt. Cook it at that same heat lever and stir constantly until it is brown.
You should then add some garlic and cook it for around 3 minutes. You should then add some ground cumin, around half a tablespoon, a cup of tomato sauce, half a cup of water, and a tablespoon of oregano leaves, then heat to a simmer for around 10 minutes.
